A new study on the use of Viagra to treat erectile dysfunction is also published in theJournal of Sexual Medicine.
The researchers found that men who used Viagra or sildenafil had a 50% greater chance of achieving erections compared to those who did not use the drug.
They compared the prevalence of erectile dysfunction in a group of men who used Viagra and sildenafil.
The researchers analyzed data from 1,073 men who took Viagra for at least four months. Of the 1,073 men, 9.5% had some degree of erectile dysfunction.
Of those, 9.5% reported having a significant degree of erectile dysfunction.
About 5% of the men in the group that used Viagra reported having a significant degree of erectile dysfunction.
The group that used sildenafil had a 55% greater chance of achieving erections compared to those who did not use Viagra.
Viagra was more effective than sildenafil in reducing the frequency of erections.
Dr David Brennan, of the University of California, Los Angeles, said, “We are excited to share results from our study with researchers across the world. This is one of the first and only studies to look at how Viagra affects patients with erectile dysfunction.”

“However, this study highlights the need to consider the potential side effects associated with these medications, particularly in those with underlying cardiovascular disease or those taking certain other medications that may interact adversely with Viagra.”
In the latest study, the researchers found that Viagra users were about half as likely to experience sexual dysfunction as those who used sildenafil or similar drugs for erectile dysfunction.
